How long does it take to redesign a smile?

Making the decision to redesign your smile is a personal journey and can take several consultations over years or be an immediate decision. The initial steps include one-on-one consultations with Dr. McIntosh and Sherry Ullman, office manager. We encourage you to bring a family member or friend during these visits.

We only proceed with cosmetic procedures when you have healthy teeth and gums. Once health issues are resolved we take impressions or molds of your teeth. In most cosmetic cases, veneers are used and our lab will begin making custom temporary veneers using the highest quality laminates. It typically takes three appointments to complete a smile makeover using veneers. At the first appointment you will leave with the temporary veneers to "test them" for a period of time ensuring the fit and look is natural. At the second appointment, we may need to make adjustments. At the final appointment, we permanently seat the veneers. Each appointment can take 2-6 hours depending on if you are having both upper and lower corrections.
