For years Tonya was embarrassed to smile and dreamed of having beautiful
white, straight teeth. Her teeth were crooked even though she had worn braces twice.
Also due to the braces her teeth were discolored. During High School she had bonding
done. The bonding had since chipped and decay had set into her teeth.
Tonya was engaged to be married and did not look forward to smiling for
her wedding photos. Tonya's mother wanted to give her a wedding gift to last a
lifetime … a new smile. Until she met Dr. McIntosh, Tonya thought she would
have to go to a larger city or be selected for Extreme Makeovers in order to get the
cosmetic procedures to correct her smile and save her teeth from decay.
Dr. McIntosh used veneers to save Tonya's teeth which were affected by
serious decay. First, she filled all of Tonya's cavities and replaced older fillings
with natural colored material. Then Dr. McIntosh applied porcelain veneers on all of
Tonya's teeth. Today her new smile is gorgeous and healthy!
"I love it!" says Tonya. "I feel more confident and I am
not afraid to laugh and smile, I can really let my personality come out in
everything I say. I have had so many people come up to me and say, 'There is
something really different about you, you just seem to glow.'"
