AACD Sponsors Free "Smile Hotline" for public, Friday, May 2, 2003, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST

Deerfield Tsp, OH (April 30, 2003), Dr. Debra McIntosh and her staff are attending the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry's (AACD) 19th Annual Scientific Session in Orlando, Florida this week. The AACD is the world's largest organization dedicated specifically to cosmetic dentistry.

By attending the conference, Dr. McIntosh is responding to an increasing number of patients asking for cosmetic dental procedures. Since 1996, consumer demand for teeth whitening procedures, the #1 performed cosmetic dental service has increased over 300%, according to an AACD survey. As part of the events in Orlando, the AACD will host the National Smile Hotline on Friday, May 2nd, 2003 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST. The Smile Hotline marks the official kick-off of the inaugural International Dental Awareness month, established by President Bush and the AACD as May 2003. The public can call toll-free to 866-848-SMILE and receive free advice about options to cosmetically enhance their smile live from an AACD dentist. This service is being offered by the AACD free of charge to consumers to raise awareness of proper oral health habits and alert callers to the amazing smile enhancements options of cosmetic dentistry.

The New Face of Aesthetics

Dr. McIntosh and her staff are attending educational forums on a wide range of topics - from hands-on workshops focusing on specific clinical procedures to unique assembly lectures promoting general life learning and self-improvement. Also in 2003, the AACD will introduce The New Face of Aesthetics to the dental world by debuting cosmetic dentistry's "Communities in Practice," an innovative approach to dental continuing education.
